Formed in 1999, Charcoal Filter is a four-piece rock band made up of guitarist Takahiro Konagawa, vocalist Yuuzou Ootsuka, bass player Yuuki Yasui, and drummer Shintarou Takano. The group released a whopping 10 albums and 14 singles, and toured extensively across the country, averaging over 100 shows a year, before eventually breaking up in 2007. They are perhaps most famous for the hugely popular track "Brand-New Myself".
